This scenario includes a Railway Emergency Call (REC). The actual incident simulated isn't distressing, nor is it meant to cause distress or offence. This scenario simulates a REC call due to a fallen tree blocking one of the lines. The initial REC call sound effect plays and then some text-to-speech dialogue between the driver and the signaller about authorising train movements.
I understand though that REC calls can be very distressing, even myself having experienced what one is like as a member of staff. I do not intend or wish to cause any distress, and I can completely understand anyone who doesn't wish to play the scenario because of it.
This scenario is intended to give some variety into what would otherwise be a straight, clear run down the line. As we all know, not everything on the railway runs to plan, and I hope that this scenario can show that with something that isn't usually simulated. I hope that, if you do decide to play it, that it can bring that aforementioned variety and hopefully a bit of interesting gameplay.
I would never simulate anything distressing or similar for obvious reasons, but I am more than welcome to feedback and would love your thoughts on this approach to scenarios, including calls with the signaller and other incidents (passenger assistance alarms, etc).
I take no credit for the sounds. The REC call sound effect was obtained from 'Voicemod' and the text to speech was done by 'ElevenLabs'.
